The Genealogical Society of South Brevard respects your privacy and protects your personal information. By joining as a member of the GSSB, you agree that we may collect and store your name and contact details, including address, telephone number, email, payment type, membership history/join dates, volunteer and committee involvement, and other optional personal information you may provide. We use this information to manage your membership, send updates or publications, process dues, and provide other benefits of membership to you. We DO NOT collect or store confidential information such as bank account numbers, credit card numbers or social security numbers. We NEVER sell, rent or trade your information with third parties or release it publicly or to other organizations. We store your data safely using a third-party membership service that provides secure server protocols, encrypted databases, and limited administrative access. Only select trusted GSSB directors have access to your information as needed for our operations, maintaining our membership rolls, and to maintain your access to various membership benefits. We may publish a membership directory for members only, however, you can review, edit and update what information may be released in this directory. We additionally ask our members to always respect the right to privacy of other members in the same manner. You may edit the methods we may use to contact or send you information, or request us to edit or limit this information by contacting our support team. You may provide and edit other optional information such as surnames for the research database, personal photo for the member directory, preferred contact name and original family surname. Note: Joining as a new member, making a donation, or purchasing from an online GSSB store does not require a login or financial account with the GSSB.
